Power banks are a must-have for people who use iPhones constantly and don’t have downtime to charge their handsets. The Belkin BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Charging Bank 10K + Cable has a massive capacity, the ability to charge an iPhone wirelessly, and an additional USB-C cable that can charge a second device simultaneously.

Massive MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging

As you’d probably guess from the name, Belkin’s power bank has a 10,000mAh battery capacity. That’s enough to charge the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max more than twice.

Thanks to MagSafe and Qi2 wireless compatibility, you can attach the battery pack directly to the back of your iPhone or Android device with a MagSafe-compatible case. The connection was very strong, and I never had to worry about the battery separating from my phone. When charging wirelessly, it will deliver a maximum of 15W of power at the fastest speed.

The only drawback, at least in my use, was the battery being large. It weighs 8 ounces, which is a little more than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So, when it’s all assembled, you’ll have a combination of about 16 ounces. I tried to put it in my pocket, but the weight was a little on the heavy side. But in a purse or bag, you shouldn’t have any issues.

As a great feature, the battery includes a kickstand that can support your iPhone in portrait or landscape mode. The kickstand is made of metal and is one of the sturdiest kickstands I’ve seen on a battery pack. It was nice to watch movies while charging my iPhone.

On the left side of the battery pack is a small button to start the charging process and check the battery charge level. Four small LED lights on the bottom of the battery pack show how much charge is left and when charging has started. On the right side is the USB-C in/out port.

Double threat with built-in USB-C cable

Belkin’s battery pack can charge more than just your iPhone. On the right side, below the USB-C port, there is a small raised area. Pulling it down reveals the built-in USB-C plug.

The only downside to simultaneous charging is that your iPhone will only charge at 7.5W while charging another device. That’s half the maximum possible speed. But if you plug in a power bank using a 20W PD or faster adapter, it’s possible to charge an iPhone with USB-C at 20W.

I used the battery pack to charge my iPhone and AirPods Pro simultaneously, and everything worked great. Being able to charge more than one device from a battery pack is a big plus.

Belkin advertises that you can use the USB-C port and an extra cable to charge devices. I found that feature to be hit-or-miss. I was unable to charge my Apple Watch Ultra 2 using the Apple charging cable, but I was able to use a USB-C to Lightning cable to power my iPhone 14 Pro Max. So, I wouldn’t rely on that feature, especially if you don’t know if your cable will work.

Should you buy the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Charging Bank 10K + Cable

The Belkin BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Charging Bank 10K + Cable can do a lot more than a simple, small power bank. Its retail price of $99.95 reflects that added utility.

If portability is your biggest concern, there are smaller and less expensive options. But if you’re a road warrior and want to charge more than just your iPhone on the go, Belkin’s option really stands out. With enough power to charge an iPhone Pro Max more than twice and a small USB-C device like AirPods, you’ll want to have this in your bag at all times.
